We just finished our very first school a few minutes ago! What an incredibly amazing experience!!! There really are no words to describe it! When we arrived at the school we were led to a classroom where approximately 100 students began to fill the room. Once everyone was present, the vice principal introduced us and the sang their national anthem (which is sung to the tune of "Dwelling In Beulah land") pastor Brooks then stood and gave a 20 minute presentation of the Bible and the plan of salvation. He had the kids full attention and kept them humoured while at the same time driving the salvation message home. We then all stood, introduced ourselves and sang Victory In Jesus. Pastor Ryan then gave a brief message about why the bible is important in his life and again gave the plan of salvation. We then handed out the Bibles along with a bookmark from the church here. The response was incredible!! Made me want to cry, but had to hold the tears back! Feeling so extremely blessed and unworthy to be here and be a part of this! Our accomadations are great! The girls are staying with Sister Marioni and her granddaughter Filo. They are the sweetest people and are absolutely spoiling us rotten with great cooking and amazing hospitality! We did have to laugh though, Pastor was forewarning the guys about cold showers....turns out the guys had warm showers and us girls get to have cold showers for the next 3 weeks! Apparently the guys fly out to Lumbasa today though and the. They will experience their first cold showers!
Thank-you again to all of you who have sacrificed your money and prayers for us to be here! We are truly have the adventure of our life's!
