Bula! (hello)
We have arrived safely in Fiji!
Internet has been very difficult to get on here so we apologize for the delay in this report.
We are now setup with a device that works from any where we travel.
We have experienced some amazing things already, but I'll begin at the start.
Upon arriving here we met up with Bro. Brooks and were introduced to some of the national pastors.
Much of yesterday was spent travelling from the airport in Nadi to the capital of Suva.
After getting settled in, we attended the Wednesday night service at Victory Baptist Church in Suva.
It is pastored by Ryan Gray who is an american missionary working here
The girls are staying in the home one of the ladies of this church. They will based out this home for all of their time here. We stayed with Bro. Brooks and a Pastor who came over from Australia.
Lets just say driving with them was a life changing experience! It is good to be saved!
Today we began by loading up the truck with Bibles for distribution.
Bro. Brooks had 3 schools scheduled for us to hand out Bibles in today.
What an absolutely incredible experience!
The first school had approximately 800 students. The students sang a few songs for us including their national anthem which is to the tune of "Dwelling in Bulah Land" They are amazing singers.
Bro. Brooks then gave a clear gospel presentation followed by Pastor Gray.
The students were very responsive. At the end we passed out the Bibles.
All the kids seemed excited to receive their Bible.
The second school had around 900 students and was as receptive as the first.
After passing out the Bibles every member of the team was surrounded by a group of kids wanting them to sign their Bible.
Everyone here wants a Bible. A teacher that was missed came and asked to get one.
This would be unheard of in Canada or America. Some people who recognized our shirts while we were out in the city asked to get another one. The people here are so receptive to the gospel!
After loading up Bibles and setting up for the third school, the three of us guys parted from the rest of the team to catch a plane to the island of Vanua Levu the second largest island of Fiji.
We are going to be working with Pastor Joe who is a national missionary.
We feel incredibly blessed to be able to have a part in this project.
Thank you for the part had in sending us here.
Please pray for us as we will be in the schools every day this week.
Arriving in Fiji.
The second school we visited.
Boarding the plane for Vanua Levu
