Day 9 in Fiji (girls)

Day 9 in Fiji
SCREAM!!!! I didn't do it out loud this time, but I sure was screaming on the inside! I walked into the shower at 4:30am this morning to see something scurry away out of the corner of my eye! I looked up to see a spider the size of the palm of my hand!!! I have never seen a spider that big in my life! Needless to say I was wide awake from that point on!:)
We had an awesome service last night! One of Pastor Grey's men preached for him and did a fabulous job! They also had us sing the song that we have been singing at all the schools and a second special as well! Please pray for our voices, I think they are all starting to get a little worn out, but we are greatly enjoying all the opportunities we have to sing!
We woke this morning to a bit of a rainy day, but as we walked out the door we looked up and there was the most beautiful rainbow!
Our latest excitement is the fact that Mrs. Towle is now driving a vehicle on the other side of the road! Pray for her and all those riding with her!
Our first school this morning was an ACE school of about 100 students! Definitely more of a Christian atmosphere and we were very well received! The principal had been reading about all the schools receiving Bibles and had prayed just last week that they we would come to their school! Only a few days later Pastor Brooks called her to confirm that we were coming! This is definitely a  upper class school...probably the only school in Fiji with an air conditioned computer lab with at least 20 computers!
The second school we went to was a large Fijian school of approximately 800 students! Again the reception was very good and even though many of the students had to sit out in the sun for close to an hour, they sat quietly and listened intently!
From there some of us had to make a rush trip to the bus station to pick up Mr. & Mrs. Johnston from Alabama! They had come in on the bus and we were so busy at the school we forgot to pick them up! Opps! Anyway, we finally found them and then we were off to our 3rd school!
The 3rd school was also a large one of around 800 students as well! It was the first school we have gone to that did not wear uniforms and it was also very mixed racially. Many Fijian, Hindu, and Chinese were present. This was probably one of the tougher groups to speak to as they just could not seem to be quiet! However the gospel was still presented clearly and even though many were busy talking, many more listened intently! All you can do is pray that one of those who listened so intently will take to heart what they heard.
After our last school we headed to the mall and food courts for some very belated lunch! Normally we are a caravan of 3 vehicles, but halfway there we realized we had lost Mrs. Towle and Pastor Brooks! We figured no big deal, they know where they are going! Turns out we lost them because they ran out of gas in the middle of the road! So Mrs. Towels group crammed into pastor Brooks truck for a cozy ride to the mall!
To our great delight, although  Fiji doesn't have a Starbucks, *sigh*, it does have a "Gloria Jeans" which is almost as good as Starbucks so I finally got my "fix" after almost 2 weeks! We have had a fabulous day and I am one happy and contented girl!:)
